You could also do both so it mutes the delay channel while any other sample is playing in the main track. This will delay all MIDI events sent to the instrument by Renoises internal audio. that way you can fully control when and how much to send to the delay. 2.3 Renoise Work-flow: Learning the Keys. This demonstrates the use of the note delay and note retrigger commands that can. Delay: (00-FF) - A time delay added to the note, where 00 is no delay and FF will result in the note being delayed until immediately before the next line. To help you getting started with Renoise you can use tutorial modules. Additional effects can also be triggered from here. I would just create an automation envelope that blips the send volume right at the part you want to send to the delay, and just time it right so it hits the last part of the phrase. In Renoise, this will only be applied to samples ( MIDI and VST plugins will be unaffected by values in this sub-column). That’s not the delay in the track you posted. But that will then have the whole audio in there not just the end part of the phrase, which may or may not be the effect your after. You could use a a signal follower to the channel that’s sending the audio, set it to control the mixer->volume of the send channel, minimum = 0db, maximum = -inf db. This way it will be sent to the external synth at the same time that the audio generated internally by Renoise reaches the soundcard outputs. Put a delay effect on the new send channel, turn on Mute Src so it doesn’t play the original audio. This will delay all MIDI events sent to the instrument by Renoise's internal audio latency (which is composed of the soundcard's output latency plus any PDC). S02 or just use S01, add a Send effect to the track routed to the new send channel and use Keep Source so it splits the signal. scripting some parameter modulation functions in ReNoise nicely controlling UnfilteredAudio Instant Delay plugin.
